Wine Class - Winsome Whites and Redolent Reds

What characteristics are we looking for in an excellent wine? Do we seek out specific grapes, regions, and producers in search of the perfect bottle? Wine experts love to talk about the features of a wine - its acid, tannin, body, aromas, and flavors, and yet none of these ideas alone or in concert can truly define what it is that makes us love a wine. When a wine speaks to us, it does so in a language wholly more seductive, more impressionistic than scientific. Through a series of different wines, we will explore those undefinable characteristics and help you gain more vocabulary to describe them.
