Wine Class - Bordeaux

Join Certified Sommelier Joshua Voytek on an introduction to the wines of Bordeaux. If you've ever heard all this talk and acclaim about wines from the Bordeaux region in France and wondered, "What's the big deal?", then this class will be a great opportunity to learn about the styles of wines that are produced in Bordeaux and why these wines are so highly regarded in the wine world. We will try some Bordeaux Blanc and Sauternes (dessert wine), in addition to reds, so those who attend the class will get a full exposure to the region, not just red wines. In terms of the reds, we will explore the difference between Left Bank and Right Bank Bordeaux and also how the influence of the Bordeaux grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot) have extended out into other parts of the world. You will come away from this class with at least a greater understanding of Bordeaux as a whole, and more easily be able to navigate what your personal taste preferences are when it comes to these wines.
