Wine Class - Bodega Valdespino

The winemaking history of the Valdespino family in Jerez dates back to 1264, when Don Alfonso Valdespino was granted land after helping the Spanish crown reconquer the area. With commercial activity dating back to 1430, Valdespino is one of the oldest and most prestigious producers of Sherry. Their wines are produced with an exacting commitment to quality. They are also equally reverent of tradition and always willing to experiment with new ideas.

In this class, Dale Johnson will showcase wines that define the best of Valdespino. Expect perfect examples of classic sherry styles from bone dry fino and manzanilla expressions to rich Amontillado and decadent PX sherry. We will also feature a new, unfortified table wine and Valdespino’s remarkable Brandy de Jerez. Join us for this deep dive on a truly classic winery.
