If you love wine but Bordeaux still feels like a bit of a mystery, this night is for you.
On Saturday evening, August 29th, we’re getting together at Su Vino Winery for an educational tasting all about one of the most famous wine regions in the world.
We’ll taste our way through Bordeaux, talk about what makes these wines so special, and make sense of some of the things that can make French wine feel a little intimidating.
We’ll get into the grapes you’ll find in Bordeaux, why blending is such a big deal there, what people mean when they talk about the different regions and styles, and how to actually read a Bordeaux label without feeling like you need a decoder ring.
Most importantly, we’re going to drink some great wine.
This isn’t a formal class, and there’s definitely no quiz at the end. It’s simply a chance to sit down with other wine lovers, speak with the sommelier, ask questions, compare notes, and learn a few things that will make drinking Bordeaux a lot more fun.
You don’t need to know anything about French wine before you come. And if you already love Bordeaux? Even better. There’s always more to taste and discover.
