A crash course in tasting wine blind! Join us as we explore traditional grapes and what makes them so unique.
About this Event

Every spring, Cork and Bow Valley Athletic Club host the annual Wine Snob Open, where wine pros, novices and enthusiasts from across Calgary put their noses and palates to the test to answer one important question: who is Calgary’s top wine snob?

Every wine snob needs somewhere to start. In this blind tasting class, Cork’s Matt Stortz will guide guests through a flight of eight wines and teach the fundamentals of tasting blind. With each wine, we’ll explore the colours, aromas and flavours that make different grape varieties distinct, along with the clues that can help you identify them in the glass.

Whether you’re brand new to blind tasting or looking to sharpen your skills ahead of the next Wine Snob Open, this is a fun, approachable way to put your palate to the test.

Due to demand and limited space, all tickets are final sale. If you’re unable to attend and would like to transfer your ticket to a friend, please reach out and let us know of any changes.
