The Windsor International Black Film Festival (WIBFF) 2026 kicks off on Thursday, August 13, at 9:00 AM with an exciting red carpet and live interviews, welcoming filmmakers, artists, and community members in style. On Saturday, the spotlight shines on cinema with an all-day screening of the official opening film (to be announced). The celebration culminates on Sunday night with the prestigious Gala Awards Ceremony, where this year’s theme, Legacy and Liberation, will also honors the unsung heroes who have supported the film industry for decades, including a special Lifetime Achievement Award.
