Windsor International Black Film Festival
Windsor International Black Film Festival (WIBFF) 2026 is a four-day celebration of Black stories, culture, and cinema that brings together filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences from around the world. Hosted in Windsor, Ontario, the festival showcases films from across the African diaspora while fostering education, networking, and community engagement through workshops, panels, and discussions. WIBFF's mission is to amplify Black voices, promote cultural understanding, and create opportunities for emerging and established filmmakers.
The festival begins on August 13 with the Business Symposium at the Quality Inn on Goyeau Street, followed by film screenings on August 14–15 at the School of Creative Arts Armouries Building (353 Freedom Way). The event concludes on August 16 with a prestigious Gala Awards Night and Red Carpet at Caesars Windsor, celebrating excellence in Black filmmaking and storytelling. Attendees can also enjoy networking opportunities, workshops, panel discussions, and cultural experiences throughout the festival.
