Windjammers Beach Volleyball League – Season 2 (Happy Hour Division)

We’re back for Season 2 of the Windjammers Beach Volleyball League!

After a fun first season full of great competition, theme nights, and good vibes on the sand, we’re ready to do it again — this time aiming to grow the league.

League Details:

• 6-player rosters (4 on the court at a time)
• Gender balance on the court will be determined based on registration numbers
• Random Two-Hat team draw (no pre-formed teams)
• Fun, beginner-friendly recreational “C-League” vibe
• 5-week regular season + Week 6 playoffs/championship
• Single-game playoff format (byes given to higher seeds if needed)

Key Dates:

• Registration Opens: Monday, August 10
• Registration Closes: Sunday, August 30 (hard cutoff – no exceptions)
• Orientation (Optional but Strongly Recommended): Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00 PM – Windjammers Sand Bar
• Season 2 Week 1: Thursday, September 3 at 6:00 PM

Game Format:

• First to 21, must win by 2 (no point caps)
• Relaxed format with games running up to ~2 hours
• Recommended hard stop around 8:00 PM (may adjust based on number of teams)
• Seeding ties broken by best-of-3 Rock-Paper-Scissors

Prize Structure:

• 70% of all entry fees go to cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
• 30% goes back to the house for court maintenance and operations

Player Perks:

• 10% off alcohol on league nights (standard exclusions apply)
• Thirsty Thursday specials
• Theme nights throughout the season

Important Notes:

• This is a 21+ league only
• Waivers must be signed in person (at orientation or before your first game)
• Orientation is optional but strongly recommended
• Captains will be added to a text group for all league updates
• Players communicate through their team captain

Cost: $25 per player

We’re looking to grow this season (targeting up to 8 teams). Spots will be filled as registrations come in.
