The non-profit organisation Windcraft Loud is counting ten years of creativity, collaborations, musical encounters and new paths, and is celebrating this with a series of events under the title “Windcraft Back”. The series looks brings collaborations born out of the organisation’s journey and that of the Windcraft Music Fest back into the spotlight.
One of the most distinctive international collaborations to emerge from the Windcraft Music Fest was the meeting between the duo LARVA, comprising Vassilis Philippou and Alexis Kasinos, and Italian saxophonist Federico Pascucci. The collaboration was first presented at Windcraft Music Fest 6 in 2019. Marking the reunion of the three musicians as part of Windcraft Back, LARVA are returning to the stage after a period of break, renewing their collaboration with Federico Pascucci.
The programme features original compositions and arrangements inspired by traditional Cypriot melodies and rhythms, combined with elements of Western music. It is a contemporary approach to traditional music, influenced by world music and jazz.
