🔨 Day One: Frame Drum Building Facilitator Training
Friday, August 29 | 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Craft your own 14-inch or 16-inch frame drum while learning how to facilitate drum building workshops for your own community. You'll receive detailed instruction in a protocol that has been used by Drumming Sounds to lead transformative drum building experiences for corporations, treatment centers, Native American wellness programs, and many other groups. This is more than just building a drum—it’s about creating a symbolic, spiritual relationship with a sacred tool for healing and community connection.
🥁 Day Two: Drumming Sounds Facilitator & OneDrum Training
Saturday, August 30 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Experience the Drumming Sounds Protocol, an evidence-based wellness intervention that uses recreational drumming and sound medicine to foster healing and connection. Begin the day with a powerful drum circle and sound journey, then break down the techniques behind creating rhythm-based events for diverse populations.
You’ll also be introduced to OneDrum, a unique facilitation model that empowers you to lead transformational group experiences using just your frame drum. This hands-on session will give you tools to build community and support wellness in faith-based spaces, youth programs, recovery circles, elder care, and beyond.
👥 About Andrew & Monica of Drumming Sounds
Andrew Ecker and Monica Patton are co-founders of Drumming Sounds, a nationally recognized wellness-based training program. With over 25 years of experience and more than 5,000 events facilitated, they’ve brought drum circles, sound medicine, and facilitator training to hospitals, tribal nations, corporate events, schools, and substance abuse treatment centers.
Together, they’ve trained over 350 facilitators and created an inclusive, effective wellness protocol grounded in both ancient tradition and modern evidence-based practice. Andrew is the author of The Sacred 7 and a certified recovery coach. Monica is a Reiki master, sound healer, and ceremonial facilitator. Their work weaves spiritual connection, community development, and empowerment through rhythm.
