The Wim Hof Method is a simple yet powerful tool to support and strengthen your physical, emotional, and mental health.
The method is based on three pillars:
Breathing exercises 🌬
Cold training ❄️
Mind training/Commitment ☺️
⭐ During the course, you will dive deep into the pillars of the Wim Hof Method:
🔹 How breathing techniques influence the body’s biological processes and how to use them to improve your health.
🔹 Scientific studies and discoveries.
🔹 Physiology of the respiratory system.
🔹 Benefits, risks, and common mistakes in cold therapy.
🔹 Different methods and safety practices for cold exposure.
🔹 Mind training as one of the most important pillars.
🔹 How thoughts influence your body and stress response.
🔹 Daily practices to stay balanced.
🔹 Descriptions of exercises and a guided breathing session recording for daily use.
⭐ In practice, you will experience:
Yoga and stretches to relax
Exercises to open the respiratory system.
A longer breathing session journey accompanied by carefully chosen music to help the body relax and connect more deeply with your inner self.
The Wim Hof Method breathing technique is an excellent way to relieve stress, achieve better balance, relax, and experience peace. It can also energize you and direct that energy to where it’s most needed—whether it’s addressing a physical issue or an emotional challenge. Breathing is the key to connecting the body and mind.
You’ll also have the opportunity to experience a cold dip in the Baltic sea, which strengthens the immune system, improves circulation, and increases the levels of "happiness hormones" like dopamine. You may feel your body tingling, your energy rising, and your vitality flowing.
Moreover, you’ll learn how to better control your body in stressful situations, making it easier to cope with everyday stress. 😎
(Note: Ice bathing is optional, not mandatory.)
SCHEDULE:
🔹 11:00 - 11:45 Introduction to the Wim Hof Method, theory.
We’ll review the method’s pillars: breathing techniques, cold therapy, and mind training. You’ll gain a comprehensive overview of how these techniques work physically and how to apply them in daily life to support your physical and mental health.
🔹 11:45 - 13:15 Yoga/Stretches, Breathing session, practice.
We’ll start with gentle and relaxing stretches, preparatory exercises to open the respiratory system, followed by an extended WHM breathing session. During the session, you may experience various physical sensations, an energy boost, and, ultimately, deep relaxation.
🔹 13:15 - 14:00 Mindset training and Cold theory/preparation
Mind training and commitment are essential components of the Wim Hof Method.
We’ll discuss how thoughts and attention influence physical reactions, focus on bodily sensations, and explore how directing the mind can help consciously manage your internal state and experiences.
We'll also learn about the cold and how to prepare to go into it.
🔹 14:00 - 15:00 Break, lunch together.
After the breathing session, and the mindset training your appetite will usually be excellent!
You can bring your own meal. Snacks, water, and tea will be available on-site.
🔹 15:00 - 15:30 Walk to Lennusulps.
🔹 15:30 - 16:00 Cold dip at Lennusulps.
At Lennusulps you'll get the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice in a safe and guided ice bath environment.
We’ll prepare both physically and mentally beforehand, and the cold dip is always optional!
After this experience, you’ll be equipped to safely and confidently enjoy cold exposure practices on your own.
🔹 16:00 - 17:00 Sauna, Wrap-up and Q&A.
We’ll conclude the day with a warm sauna and the opprtunity to go once more together in the cold water.
In the sauna it will be a summary, time for questions, experience sharing, and more useful tips for daily practice.
🔹 17:00Time to say goodbye.
