WILTON WAY LITERARY SALON - HORROR
Join us for an intimate gathering of literary enthusiasts, readers and writers, at the heart of Hackney to read and discuss your own work, or those of your favourite writers and wordsmiths. Every month we decide on a broad theme and bring pieces inspired by it. Any short form welcome: poetry, short short story, flash fiction, lyrics, monologue, short essays, paragraphs and pages of favourite or inspiring books.
This month our theme is HORROR. We're getting ready to enter the underworld as we enter the beginning of the darker half of the year. Let's face our worst fears by exploring the works of writers and poets that know how to creep under our skin. Think of the short stories of Angela Carter, Brother's Grimm, Carmen Maria Machado, Shirley Jackson, and the like.
As usual, read something of yours or bring something you felt connected to this theme.
