𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Warwick Davis (Return of the Jedi) stars as the title character in this late ‘80s high fantasy adventure film. When an aspiring sorcerer named Willow finds an abandoned infant, he must team up with a cocky, disaffected warrior (Val Kilmer) to protect the child from an evil queen. Soon the duo find themselves in a world of magic, three-headed dragons and skull-faced killers. Based on a story by George Lucas and directed by Ron Howard, WILLOW is a non-stop action adventure that boasts stellar SFX from Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿: Tim Connolly is an Assistant Professor of English at MCCC where he teaches film and English. He has researched, written, and given presentations on gender and Hollywood film during the Great Depression, focusing on stars such as Norma Shearer, Robert Montgomery, Joan Crawford, Clark Gable, and others. He currently hosts Sound And Vision, a weekly radio show on Montco Radio where he reviews current and classic films and plays music to accompany the review.
