Willmore Building Haunting History Tour
About this Event
Haunting History Tour at the Willmore Building - Save the Date!
Saturday, October 24
3:00 - 6:00 PM
The Willmore Building, Downtown’s landmark Italian Renaissance Revival structure from 1924, will be the site of “a haunted stroll” on Oct. 24! How exciting!
Guests will also enjoy learning about some of the storied history of the former (Stillwell) Hotel building and a few of its residents over the century. The tour includes scary and 20s-era scenarios in the magnificent Lobby, a walk down one of the upper floors’ hallways, more displays in the chilling Solarium, authentic artifacts in the Pike Museum, and incomparable Long Beach (and beyond) views on the Rooftop Patio! [Please note that the Rooftop only has a 2-level walk-up staircase and so is not ADA accessible.] Then after the tour, a complimentary beverage will be offered at La Traviata, the restaurant next door.
The tour will take place on Oct. 24 from 3:00 - 6:00. However, guests can enter the Willmore any time from 3:00 to 5:15. Tickets are limited, and reservations are suggested. Tickets, costing $30 per adult (children accompanied by an adult are free) plus the ticket service fee, may be purchased on the Long Beach Heritage website (www.lbheritage.org).
Visitors are encouraged to wear period-appropriate &/or spooky outfits during the tour!
All proceeds from the Tour go to historic preservation.
The Haunting History Tour at the Willmore Building will be an event not to miss. You can experience the tales and spirits of those no longer with us, yet who may insist to be remembered or refuse to stay quiet!
