Local author Jason Cherry will discuss his latest book, William Trent: Factor of Ambition, which explores the life of William Trent and his forgotten place in eighteen century history. The book is a new definitive look through the eyes of a misunderstood backcountry merchant who not only overcame obstacles and suffered loss, but whose rebellious interactions with future founding fathers Benjamin Franklin and George Washington helped shape and form the future United States of America. About the Author Butler native Jason has reenacted the French and Indian War for over 30 years, portraying Captain William Trent's Company, a group of volunteers hired under William Trent Jr in 1754. He is also the research consultant for the 1719 William Trent House in Trenton, NJ, and works as an Assistant Group Supervisor for Stepping Stones Children's Center in Gibsonia.
