The Scottish composer plays music from his latest album, and by the luminaries of contemporary neo-classicism, on both grand and felt pianos
About this Event

ABOUT THE EVENT

William released his most recent album, The Space Between Thoughts, in May on . In his first concert at Forsyth, he will intersperse several pieces from the album with works by other composers of contemporary neo-classical music and associated genres: Australian Luke Howard, Joep Beving from the Netherlands, and some of the biggest names — Arnalds, Tiersen, Einaudi.

Throughout his set, he will switch between a grand piano and a 'felted' upright piano. Fans of the genre will be familiar with the muted, velvety tone that the application of felt produces, but if you're new to this sound world, expect an intimate, immersive atmosphere, and William will introduce you to the music as he goes along...
