About this Event
At the turn of the century, reaction against the industrial age and a need for honesty and simplicity in design led the proponents of the Arts and Crafts movement to embrace a style of simple comfort and grace, influenced by the colors and materials of the earth. We will trace the development of the Arts and Crafts movement in England as it was shepherded by William Morris and his followers, as they rekindled enthusiasm for beauty, harmony, and craftsmanship in architecture and hand-crafted decorative objects.
I will email you via Eventbrite with the Zoom link three hours in advance of the lecture. If you do not receive the Zoom link (after checking your spam box, too), email me at [email protected].
The lecture will be recorded and a link will be sent to you upon request if you are not able to join me live.
Ticket sales end 15 minutes before the lecture.
Please join me 15 minutes early so that I have time to address any connection issues.
I look forward to having you join me!
