Join us for a heartfelt memorial concert honoring the life and legacy of William Francis Montgomery, affectionately known as Bill. The concert will take place at the Jensen Grand Concert Hall, where ISU music faculty and students will perform an array of works composed by Bill, celebrating his extraordinary talent and love for music.Bill, a distinguished music professor and beloved member of the ISU community, passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 41. His passion for music was evident from a young age, leading him to earn degrees in Piano Performance and Music Composition from Idaho State University, the University of Nevada, Reno, and Louisiana State University. His innovative compositions touched audiences locally and globally, leaving an indelible mark on those who experienced his art.
Following the concert, we invite guests to a reception in the Rotunda, providing an opportunity to share memories and celebrate Bill's incredible contributions to music and education. Bill's legacy lives on through his loving family, students, and the community he cherished. Together, let us honor him and keep his spirit alive through music.
