Wilfie (Wilfie Gilbert) is a much loved and respected singer/songwriter who has been a mainstay on the live gigging circuit in Belfast for years, a self-effacing legend of the Northern Ireland music scene.

Known for his fabulous voice, his acoustic guitar playing and his significant repertoire - consisting of his own songs and classic cover songs, delivered in his own inimitable way, all makes for a chilled afternoon of music here - and this is Wilfie's inaugural appearance at The American Bar. It's long overdue, so this will be a gig not to miss.

Wilfie has been releasing his music independently and continues to create both on his own and with many of Northern Ireland’s well known artists.
With the release in March 2019 of ‘Miner’s Gold’, his first full collection of ten outstanding original songs, it was widely acclaimed, and deservedly so - listen here.

Joining Wilfie is John McCullough, a pianist and keyboard virtuoso hailing from Ireland. With an impressive resume that includes collaborations with The Waterboys, Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor, Andrew Strong, Paul Casey and Sharon Corr, John has left an indelible mark on the global music stage. His extensive touring experience, including performances at renowned festivals like Glastonbury and Summersonic, showcases his versatile and dynamic musical presence.
