About this Event

This three-part workshop is designed for photographers of all experience levels who want to improve their wildlife photography and learn how to approach animals and birds with greater confidence in the field.

Over three sessions, we will explore the technical and creative decisions that can transform a wildlife snapshot into a compelling photograph. We’ll cover camera settings, light, backgrounds, composition, animal behavior, motion, black-and-white conversion, and ethical wildlife photography.

One of our sessions takes us out of the classroom and into the field at ZooTampa, where we’ll put these techniques into practice while photographing a variety of animals and birds. You’ll work through guided photography assignments focused on light, composition, motion, color, and more.

Our final session brings everyone back together for a Zoom image review and group critique, where you’ll receive feedback on your strongest images and learn how to approach your work with a more critical photographer’s eye.
