About this Event
Overview
We'll meet at the Cosumnes River Preserve Visitor Center Parking Lot at 9:00am and leave around 12:00pm. Side excursions will include driving a short distance to Desmond Rd and Staten Island Rd.
Achieve the skills to photograph birds and other wildlife in this photo walk at Cosumnes River Preserve. On this approximately 3 mile mostly flat walk we should expect to view Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese, shorebirds, and various ducks that utilize the Preserve that lies along the Pacific Flyway. You'll achieve the skills to successfully photograph birds in flight. We'll also walk through riparian habitat and look for early in the season migrating songbirds. After the walk, we can drive a short distance to a couple of backroads to view more cranes and geese.
