Wildflowers Halloween Community Block Party

🎃🌻 ONE COMMUNITY. TWO SEPARATE EVENTS. ONE UNFORGETTABLE HALLOWEEN. 🌻🎃
This hero image captures the story we hope Englewood families will experience this Halloween.
It begins beneath the golden Florida sun at Buchan Park, where children in colorful costumes race toward games, prizes and new adventures. Vendor tents open beneath the trees. Music fills the air. Families laugh together, neighbors become friends and the very first Wildflowers Youth Group Haunted Community Block Party comes to life.
This is where Wildflowers plants its first seed.
The glowing pathway through the center of the image represents the journey continuing—but it also marks an important transition between two separate community events.
As daylight fades into a brilliant Halloween twilight, families leave Buchan Park and make their way toward Historic Dearborn Street. Storefronts begin to glow, treat buckets come out and another beloved Englewood tradition begins.
The Wildflowers Youth Group Haunted Community Block Party, held from 12:00–4:00 PM at Buchan Park, is hosted by the Wildflowers Youth Group.
The Dearborn Street Trick-or-Treating celebration, held separately from 5:00–7:00 PM, is co-sponsored by the Olde Englewood Village Association—OEVA—and Englewood Sunset Rotary International.
These are two independently organized events, each with its own hosts and identity, connected by something larger than any single organization:
A shared love for Englewood’s children, families and community.
From afternoon sunshine and wildflowers to glowing storefronts and Halloween lights, this image represents an entire day of laughter, imagination, belonging and memories waiting to be made.
It is the story of children running toward adventure.
It is the story of families spending meaningful time together.
It is the story of local organizations creating opportunities for their community in their own special ways.
And it is the beginning of what we hope will become a wonderful new Wildflowers tradition.
Bring your children. Wear your costumes. Invite your family, friends and neighbors.
Come celebrate with Wildflowers at Buchan Park—and then keep the Halloween fun going at the separate trick-or-treating celebration on Historic Dearborn Street!
🎃 Comment “WE’LL BE THERE!” and let us know your family is joining the fun!
