The Classic-Record Rewind Series will bring its “Wildflowers by Tom Petty” concert to the historic Newtown Theatre.
Presented by Moonlight Forest Productions, this one-time-only concert will feature Tom Petty’s classic 1994 album “Wildflowers” being played in its entirety, along with some other classic Petty songs.
Many of the musicians involved in the theatre’s annual John Prine tribute are involved in this project, including Daniel S. Bower, Justin Mazer, Michael Borowski and Phil D’Agostino.
They will be joined by a host of special guests to be announced. Considered by many to be his best work, “Wildflowers” was the second solo studio album by Tom Petty. Certified 3x platinum, Rolling Stone said the album’s “resolute passion and maturity grow more evident with each listen until it acquires a haunting, enduring resonance.”
