Are you and your loved ones prepared?
Natural disasters of historical size like Hurricane Harvey are becoming more and more common. As we know, in a crisis like this sociatal supply and power lifelines that we count on in our day to day lives break down. In this more volatile world you can't afford not to prepare yourself and your family in advance.
Each year we hear countless stories of ordinary people who are thrust into unexpected survival situations. Do you have the skills necessary to take care of yourself or your family if you were lost, in a natural disaster, or injured away from immediate help?
Additionally, these skills can be a really fun pursuit for families and can enhance your camping and outdoor trips and experiences.
Class topics will include:
🔥fire by friction
🪓 basic shelter building
🪵 trapping small game
🌱local edible and medicinal plants, making rope from plants
💦water collection and purification
☀️basic land navigation utilizing the sun and the stars
🎒creating a survival kit for your car and backpack

This class is part lecture and part hands on participation. A detailed list of what to bring will be emailed to you immediately after enrollment.

Ages: This is an adult class but open to ages 12+. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult participant with a 1:1 ratio. An enrollment and class fee must be received for each person attending class, regardless of age.
