Join us for a 7-day course to learn and practice wilderness medicine skills and decision-making in wilderness settings. This course will teach you medical skills, build critical thinking, and promote confidence to handle an unexpected emergency in the backcountry. Upon completion, you'll receive a three-year Wilderness First Responder certification, CPR certification, and authorization for epinephrine injections in California.
Throughout the course, you'll learn how to differentiate between common backcountry issues that require immediate attention and those that don't. This knowledge, combined with hands-on training, will equip you to make informed medical decisions, assess risks, and take effective actions during emergencies.
This certification can enhance your capabilities as a team member and partner and create job opportunities within the outdoor industry.
