Join us for a Wilderness First Aid course in Gainesville, FL. During this intensive two-day course (8 am- 5:30 pm both days) we will cover patient assessment, recognizing life threats, treating for shock, splinting fractures, bleeding control, environmental emergencies such as snake bites, drowning, heat stroke and more. This course focuses on improvising with what you have with and around you. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, those who live in rural areas, anyone who travels in remote areas or overseas, and also for city dwellers who want to know how to handle an emergency. You earn a two-year SOLO Wilderness First Aid certification at the end of the course. Course cost $295. CPR certification is also available this weekend (Fri evening, 6:30-9 pm) at $55.
