This course is for those who have not completed a Wilderness First Aid course before.The fee for this course is $745
This is a blended course with self-paced online learning (e-Learning) and five days of practical training. This allows us to focus on practical training sessions and scenarios as much as possible.
Before attending the practical training, students must complete their e-learning, which can be done in one sitting or over several sessions.
Depending on the student's learning ability, they should allow up to 3 hours for reading and e-Learning.
Practical training and assessment takes 8 hours per day over 5 consecutive days in a classroom environment.
The course focuses on the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid care to a patient, the patient care required while waiting for an extended period of time (more than 2 hours from definitive care) for help to arrive, and the skills and knowledge to coordinate an appropriate emergency response, including communications to emergency services and evacuation considerations.
