The Wilderness Emergency Medical Response (WEMR) class covers far beyond basic first aid and urban-based emergency responder programs to include fundamentals inherent in guiding groups in the outdoors and leading fellow outdoor enthusiasts on different wilderness adventures. The entire course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.Each activities will be focused on accident scene management, group leadership, leader responsibility and liability, prevention of injuries, advanced first aid kits, wound management, managing the trauma victim, basic survival and navigation skills & many more.

Course duration: 3 Days 2 Nights
Prerequisite:
BMC or Similar outdoor activities
Wilderness First Aid Training (COE)
BLS / BFA or other similar courses attended.
Must be 17 years or older.
Class location
The W.E.M.R. will be held in Sapangdaku / Babag Mountains Cebu which will require a 1-2hours of hiking with loaded backpacks. We will be camping for 3Days & 2Nights. Students/participants shall be required to bring their own camping gear, pack/prepare their own food, and hydration needs. A water-source will be available at camp (natural spring). Heads up, it will be a wild camping experience with less amenities since we want our students to experience a real-life tropical wilderness camp setting. At times you will be crossing streams and each participants are required to wear shoes/boots at all times when moving.
