There’s something undeniably powerful about being at home in the wild, knowing how to make fire in the rain, split wood safely, build a shelter that will keep you warm through the night, and use your tools like an old pro. Those kinds of skills aren’t something you’re born with; they’re earned, one spark, one swing, and one carved notch at a time.If you didn’t have a mentor to pass these skills down to you as a kid, don’t worry, Earth Native’s expert instructors have you covered!
In this immersive, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the essential bushcraft skills that help you not just survive, but thrive, in the outdoors. You’ll gain real confidence using the classic tools of the woods: knife, axe, saw, and rope. You’ll practice proven techniques for fire building, tool care, and efficient camp setup, skills that connect you deeply to both your surroundings and generations of outdoor adventurers before you.
You’ll get plenty of dirt-under-the-fingernails experience in:
🔥Knife safety, maintenance, carving, and wood-splitting techniques
🔥Axe and saw selection, maintenance, and use
🔥Fire starting with matches and ferro rods, plus methods for firewood selection and tending different fire types
🔥Ropework basics, including essential knots, hitches, and lashings
🔥Shelter design and construction, including the famed “Super Shelter” inspired by legendary bushcrafter Mors Kochanski
🔥Smart camp setup, choosing your spot, managing hygiene, and making your space in the woods comfortable and efficient
Whether you’re an aspiring survivalist or simply someone who loves learning traditional outdoor skills, Wilderness Bushcraft will give you the knowledge and the confidence to truly feel at home in the wild.
This class is also a perfect companion to our Wilderness Survival 101 course. Together, they provide a powerful foundation for anyone wanting to deepen their outdoor skillset and wilderness knowledge.

Ages: This is an adult class but open to ages 12+. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult participant with a 1:1 ratio. An enrollment form and payment must be received for each person attending class, regardless of age.
