About this Event
House sparrows are highly adaptable, sociable birds who live on every continent except Antarctica! Once so numerous they were considered a pest, now their population in the UK is in severe decline. Join us in Mile Cross where sparrows still thrive and find out how you can create a sparrow friendly garden and neighbourhood. Become a sparrow champion! It’s not too late – by working together, we can make a difference to this iconic bird.
Location: The Common Lot Community Skill Sharing Hub 185 Drayton Rd, Norwich, NR3 2PG. What3Words: lights.piles.salsa. From here we will go to explore some sparrow hot spots on the historic estate.
Accessibility
We want our events, and nature itself, to be accessible to everyone. If you have specific needs or requirements, please get in touch at [email protected] so we can support you wherever possible. Please be aware that the natural terrain and access conditions may limit what we are able to provide on site.
Wilder Community Workshops
This workshop is part of a programme specially designed to support individuals, communities and groups acting for nature in their local area. Workshops are subsidised by donations made to Norfolk Wildlife Trust. To view the full programme please click on this link (Workshops for a Wilder Community - Norfolk Wildlife Trust).
