2026 marks our 6th annual Wild Wonderful Weekend Festival - a weekend that celebrates the anniversary of Centerra making history as Colorado's first ever NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat Community in 2018.
The weekend will feature a variety of FREE, fun, educational, outdoor events to connect you with nature in our community.
Friday, Sep 11 @ Kinston HUB
HPEC's 25th Anniversary Party 5pm - 6:30pm
Kinston Jamboree 5pm to 8pm (live music, food, silent auction)
Saturday, Sep 12 - Wild Zone @ Chapungu Sculpture Park
The heart of Wild Wonderful Weekend Events!
The Wild Zone features fun games and activities from nature and sustainability organizations including Butterfly Pavilion, Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, NOCO Bird Alliance, and more! Hosted in Chapungu Sculpture Park, this nature festival is backdropped by native plants, Zimbabwean sculpture art, and wildlife habitat.

9am - 2pm HPEC Native Plant Sale
10am-2pm - 20+ Wildlife & Environmental Education Booths
10am - 2pm Nature Art Show with 25+ local artists
10am - 12pm Chapungu Sculpture Park Garden Tour with HPEC
10am-4pm - Ropes Course

12pm - Zimbira (Afro Fusion)
2:30pm - School of Rock
4:30pm - Tierro Band (Multicultural, dance)
