Introducing a First-of-Its-Kind Initiative in Alberta — and Possibly All of Canada.

The WILD (Women In Leadership Dinner) Recognition Awards Gala celebrates the extraordinary achievements of women who have excelled in traditionally male-dominated professions. This event serves as a powerful platform to honor those who have broken glass ceilings, challenged stereotypes, and created pathways for future generations in industries that have historically excluded women or seen limited female participation.

While the conversation around gender equity in the workplace is gaining momentum, the path to leadership for women (especially in traditionally male-dominated sectors) remains steep. More women are rising through the ranks, driven by ambition and excellence. Yet, the cost is often high: women continue to take on invisible, unrewarded labor; overextend themselves to prove their value; and leave certain industries altogether in search of more inclusive, supportive environments.Despite these challenges, women are achieving more than ever. And still, no formal platform exists in Calgary, Alberta, or anywhere in Canada that is solely dedicated to celebrating and spotlighting these exceptional women.

Until now.

WILD recognizes trailblazing women who have not only made remarkable professional strides but have paved the way for others to follow in 10 distinct award categories including:

Construction and Trades, Engineering, Oil and Gas, Trucking and Transportation, Firefighting and Emergency Services, Law Enforcement and Security, Technology and Innovation (software designer or educator), Manufacturing and Production, CEO of the year, and Social Advocate of the year (individual or organization).

Awardees are selected through a rigorous nomination process led by our esteemed Selection Committee; comprised of NINE exceptional women invited for their leadership, expertise, and commitment to advancing gender equity. We look forward to disclosing the finalists across all categories in the weeks leading up to the event.

On this night, we will gather to honor excellence, share stories, and build a community that uplifts and inspires. WILD is a landmark moment for gender equity and leadership in Canada.

Doors open: 4:30PM

Registration + Networking: 4:30PM - 6:30PM

Main program starts: 6:30PM

*****Proceeds from these events directly support our mission to empower women—through scholarships, career development programs (including reskilling, upskilling, and career pivots), access to expert consultancy services for their ventures, and to continue the annual celebration of trailblazing women at our awards ceremony.
