Escape to the wild beauty of Tasmania for a boutique small animal CE experience unlike any other.
This destination event combines world-class education with the island’s legendary landscapes, food, and culture – designed for those who seek clinical inspiration while immersing themselves in unique travel experiences alongside like-minded professionals.
Blending 20 – 40 hours of RACE-Approval pending small animal CE led by handpicked international speakers with Tasmania’s wilderness, wildlife, and gourmet delights, this is a rare opportunity to elevate your clinical skills and decision-making, connect, and explore at the edge of the world.
Your 6-day journey begins with a warm welcome at Peppers Silo Launceston, where attendees will settle in with a celebratory dinner showcasing Tasmania’s renowned local produce and wines. The days are dedicated to engaging lectures and interactive case discussions, balanced with free time for heritage walking tours through Launceston’s historic heart, wine tasting, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and wildlife. Evenings will be enjoyed with mouth-watering dinners in a relaxed setting and fireside drinks, while nights provide a great opportunity for awesome stargazing under the Tasmania’s skies.
Your package includes two unforgettable group excursions:
Following the first day's sessions, enjoy a guided City Heritage Walking Tour of Launceston, led by local specialists who bring the city's rich history and distinctive character to life.
Midway through the program, unwind on a scenic Discovery Cruise along the stunning Tamar River and Cataract Gorge.
The final day offers the chance to further explore Tasmania's spectacular wilderness such as Cradle Mountain–Lake, St Clair National Park, tee off at world-renowned Barnbougle Golf Links, or embark on a Bruny Island gourmet tour. This immersive event promises not only exceptional education but also the chance to experience Tasmania’s wilderness, culture, and community in a truly unforgettable way.
The event fee includes accommodation, all meals (incl. tea/coffee and one soft drink per meal), the City Heritage Walking Tour & Discovery Cruise, all lectures and workshops as well as extensive event notes and a certificate of attendance. Attendees can choose to stay in a single room or can share a room with another attendee at a reduced price. Attendees are also welcome to attend the event with a partner/guest (special guest price available). The event fee does not include flights or alcoholic drinks. Rooms are allocated at the discretion of VetPD. Early event registration is recommended as there are only a limited number of places available.
