Join us for Wild for the Playscape, a fun-filled afternoon of nature, reptiles, and hands-on activities—all in support of the new playscape at East Granby Farms!📅 Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025
📍 Location: East Granby Farms Recreation Building (79 N Main St., East Granby)
💰 Donation: $10 per person | $30 max for families of 4 or more
🎟 Advanced registration is encouraged, for planning purposes, but walk-ins are welcome.
Event Schedule:
🌿 2:00 PM – Family Nature Walk
Kick off the event with a guided walk led by Amanda Thompson, President of Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy. Explore the beauty of East Granby Farms and enjoy some fresh air! (Meet at the entrance of the Recreation Building.)
🐍 3:00 PM – Live Reptile Presentation
Get up close with amazing reptiles as Brian Kleinman of Riverside Reptiles Education Center shares fascinating facts about these incredible creatures! (Inside the Recreation Building.)
🌎 3:45 PM – Earth Day Slime Activity ($5 donation)
Wrap up the afternoon with a fun, eco-themed craft! Join East Granby Youth Services Youth Action Council to make and take home your own Earth Day slime. (On the back patio of the Recreation Building.)
