Wild Florida Nature Walk: Learning About Our Small Mammals
About this Event
We see them all the time, but what do we actually know about our small Florida mammals? Come on a fun nature walk led by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) biologists who will discuss life with Florida’s small mammals. Be ready to learn about their biology, behavior, and their role in Florida’s ecosystems. And a bonus, we will all learn about coexisting with these adaptable animals and address how to identify, prevent, and resolve potential human-wildlife conflicts. Don't miss out!
DETAILS
Free program, reservations required
Begins at 9:00am and will last until approximately 11:00am
Walk will be about 1-1.5 miles across various natural surfaces
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
No Pets
All participants will be required to sign electronic waivers that will be sent out prior to the program
