About this Event
Imagine this: you’re walking on the perfect autumn day. The geese are calling overhead. The leaves are that gorgeous shade of coral red. A gentle breeze is blowing, not too warm or cold. You pause to collect a few handfuls of acorns. You know precisely how to prepare them to make your next batch of pancakes even more delicious…
🥞Are you ready to enjoy freshly roasted acorn pancakes?🤤
🍂Then join us for Wild Edible Plants of the Midwest, an in-person seasonal study of more than 100 edible plants you can find in the Great Lakes region.🍄
We are keeping the course cozy this year, so grab your spot before the class fills up!
The course is taught by Pat Armstrong, a native plant educator and wild edibles expert. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to identify over 100 wild, edible plants and know how to prepare healthy and delicious meals from foraged finds!
Each day-long class includes interactive discussions, a wild edible tasting session, and a guided hike through local parks and preserves.
Registration for the Full Course (6-classes, occurring from Winter to Fall 2025) includes copies of The Wild Edible Plant Family Cookbook and an interactive Course Workbook.
