About this Event

Wild Abandon: A High Summer Harvest of Holy Play
An invitation to play on purpose, move for the pure delight of it, and let spirit speak through silliness. Come as you are and leave a little wilder.

Remember when play didn't need a reason? When your body would just be — be dancing, be silly, be wild? That knowing is still in you. It's midsummer, the time for games, first harvest, and celebration. Our ancestors understood that celebration is its own kind of prayer. Your body remembers how to celebrate, even if it's been a while.

In this two-hour collaboration, we will connect with the body's innate wisdom through grounding, nervous system–informed movement — no experience, flexibility, or coordination required. There will be time to explore old stories and free our bodies and minds to receive direct revelation from source.

Maggie Rintala is a movement educator, spiritual practitioner, and minister-in-training in her senior year at the School of Spiritual Leadership at Centers for Spiritual Living. A former professional dancer with a lifetime of teaching experience, Maggie weaves philosophy, movement, and shamanic practice into gatherings where the body is welcomed as a full partner in spiritual life. Her work rests on two convictions: Life in a body is a gift, where you are is the perfect place to start, and that Love is our only job. She lives in coastal San Diego County with her family, and can frequently be found dancing when no one has asked her to.
