Ex-pat Kiwi jazz pianist Wil Sargisson returns to JMI Live, alongside his compadres Elliott and Mitch. The boys have been playing tunes together for the best part of a decade by now, and have developed a strong rapport. Festival appearances and a live recording for the Jazz In Meanjin series have been highlights of their time together.Bluesy, swinging jazz has always been the trio's preferred mode of operation, and one can expect nothing less on this occasion. They'll dust off some old arrangements, explore some new ones, and see where the flow of the evening takes them.
