WiFCC: International Crane Foundation Guided Tour

Join WiFCC in a guided tour of the International Crane Foundation!
In a world that has lost more than three billion birds over the past 50 years, the cranes—one of the most threatened families of birds on earth—offer a powerful beacon of hope. The Foundation's bold and ambitious strategy is to ensure that all 15 crane species are stable or increasing across their ranges. Drawing from five decades of science-based conservation success, they are scaling up their long-term programs for highly threatened crane species in Africa, Asia, and North America, while continuing to monitor and support species that are less at-risk.
What does the tour include? The education department, staff and volunteers have extensive experience leading group tours and want to provide you with an educational and enjoyable tour. During your tour, our group will have an opportunity to:
- Observe the world’s 15 crane species.
- Learn about crane biology.
- Investigate the current threats to crane survival.
- Discover methods used to conserve endangered species.
- Learn about our international work and initiatives.

Cancellations for events must be made at least 72 hours in advance. If 3 or more late cancellations or no-shows occur within a six-month period, the household’s event registrations in the following six months will default to a waitlist.

This event is limited to Wisconsin residents impacted by adoption or out-of-home care and their immediate household.
