About this Event

For the tenth year, MIT and Microsoft New England are proud to collaborate with Women in Data Science (WiDS) Worldwide to bring the WiDS regional conference to Cambridge, Massachusetts. This one-day conference will feature an all-female lineup of speakers and panelists from academia and industry to talk about the latest data science-related research in a number of domains, and to learn how leading-edge researchers and companies are leveraging data science for success.

Location:

The Microsoft NERD Center is located at 1 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02142. The conference will be held in the conference room on floor M.

Transportation and parking:

Microsoft New England is a short distance/walk from Kendall Square T. We encourage public transportation, carpooling, or ride-hailing. There is limited on-site paid parking in the garage at 1 Memorial Drive, accessible off Main Street and 1 Memorial Drive. The maximum for the 1 Memorial garage is $37, more nearby local parking properties are listed here.

Our Mission

WiDS Cambridge is independently organized by MIT and Microsoft New England to be part of the mission to cultivate the next generation of Data Science and AI leaders by providing resources for upskilling, networking, mentorship, and growth opportunities, from students to professionals.

A future in which women are decision makers and share in the economic success in the field of Data Science and AI.

The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. WiDS started as a one-day technical conference at Stanford in November 2015. Ten years later, WiDS is a global movement that includes a number of worldwide initiatives:​​
