This year we are going to the GA Ren Fest on the Pet Friendly Weekend (4/19/25) so some of us can bring our dogs. If you’re coming from West GA, the plan is to meet at Sand Hill Lodge at 9 AM Saturday morning and ride to the GA Ren Fest together, but if you’re coming from other directions, you’re on your own.
The gates open at 10:30 AM and it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you buy your tickets now if you haven’t already since they ALWAYS sell out beforehand. If you try to buy a ticket the day of, there’s a 99% chance they will be sold out.
There’s a Dog Costume Contest at 1 PM and a Hot Dog Eating Contest at 3:30 PM, both at the Joust Arena.
Although you can pay with your credit/debit card for certain things, most of the food vendors use cash only.
And one more thing, there is not a specific area for motorcycle parking, so be prepared to park on grass. Parking is FREE! If the weather is an issue, usually you can use your ticket on Sunday if necessary.
Yes, they sell Beer and Mead as well as soft drinks and water. It’s outside, so the public bathrooms are porta-potties. If you don’t like Ren Fest type food (turkey legs, brats, pretzels, etc, there’s stores like Awful Waffle down the street.
