About this Event

DESCRIPTION

  • Philadelphia is a city full of secrets. Full of mysteries. Full of depravity. Some are tucked behind old walls and shuttered windows. Some are hidden in plain sight. Some are buried beneath your feet, sealed inside forgotten graveyards, cellars, alleyways, and stories polite history never bothered to tell. This is not the Philadelphia of powdered wigs, field trips, and nice little plaques. This is the city’s darker side—full of scandal, vice, sin, M**der, restless spirits, and the kind of history that lingers long after the bodies are gone.
  • On this wicked walk through Old City, uncover some of the stories that made Philadelphia one of the most fascinating and haunted cities in America. Some are eerie. Some are stranger than fiction. Some are downright filthy. Many will leave you unsettled. Most will make you wonder what else this city has been hiding. Even lifelong locals end up shocked by what’s been sitting right in front of them all along.
  • Come ready for ghost stories, forbidden affairs, and the beautifully messed-up past beneath the cobblestones. SEEK out the stories they tried to bury, EXPLORE the places where the past still breathes, and WANDER the narrow streets and alleys where the dead don’t always stay dead.
  • Put on those walking shoes, grab a bottle of water, and bring a friend or two!
  • Designed for ages 18+. Children 13-17 may be considered upon request.
  • Approximately 2.5 miles worth of walking
