Wichmann Vineyard Grape Stomp

It’s almost time for the fourth annual Wichmann Vineyard Grape Stomp! Join us for a day filled with fun, laughter and a really great cause! Tickets can be purchased in the tasting room or online.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Illinois and your $15 ticket provides:

• A glass of Wichman Vineyard wine
• Music from The ‘Ol Fishskins
• A great time smashing grapes with your feet

Festivities will begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Every fifteen minutes, a new set of six stompers will step into our loaded barrels to see how much juice they can push out of the provided grapes. At the end of the day, the person with the most juice will be crowned the Grape Stomp champion, receiving a free bottle of Wichmann Vineyard wine and a set of wine glasses. There will also be a kids’ division and a Lucille Look-alike Contest. The Lucille contest winner will also receive a free bottle of wine and a set of wine glasses!

Limited charcuterie boards will be available for purchase, provided by our good friends at the St. Nicholas Brewing Company. A reminder, outside food is also welcome.

Children under the age of 12 can stomp for $5 and will receive a participation medal designed specifically for this year’s event.

Event Details:

• Gates open at 1:30 p.m. and sign up for stomping time slots will begin. First come first serve for sign up. Stomping will be 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. with a break in the middle. *Please be near the stomping area at your stomp time
• We will take a break from stomping and begin our Lucille look-alike contest at 3:30 p.m.
• Every ticket holder will be provided a wristband at the gate which will allow them to go in and out of the flagged festival area. You will need to make sure you have your wristband on to receive the glass of wine included with ticket purchase (for 21+). *Please return your glass in one of the provided bus tubs upon departure from the festival.
• We encourage you to bring lawn/camp chairs or blankets for the event. Very limited seating provided.
• Outside alcohol is not permitted.
