Join us for an evening with Alexis Bowater OBE, a prominent journalist, newsreader, and women's advocate from Devon. Renowned for her work as a presenter on Westcountry Live, Alexis has led and supported several community-driven projects, including Beach Schools South West, The Venus Awards, South West Women in Business, and, since May 2022, the West Country Women Awards. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in the campaign to erect the statue of Nancy Astor, the first female Member of Parliament to take her seat in the UK, celebrating women's achievements and history.For her outstanding contributions to women's safety and equality, Alexis was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours.
