This program will share how Willow Fork Park has incorporated Texas Native plants into our gardens and which plants have thrived. You will learn how people define a “native” plant and why and how they have adapted to local eco-systems.
After a short program, we will walk through the gardens to see examples of Texas Native plants.
You will also receive a handout of our favorite native plants, Internet resource sites and locations to obtains Texas native plants.
Meet at the Willow Fork Park pavilion at 9:00 a.m.
Willow Fork Park was developed by Willow Fork Drainage District in collaboration with Katy ISD and is located at the northwest corner of 99/Grand Parkway and Cinco Ranch Blvd., north of Cinco Ranch High School.
This is a free family–friendly activity for all ages.
