Susan Caya-Slusser of the Wisconsin Historical Society will share the history of and stories from the Pendarvis Historical Site. Hear the stories of the Cornish immigrants who settled in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, in the early 1830s, bringing their mining experience, heritage, and culture with them. View the Cornish settlements in limestone and wood: homes and structures similar to those they left behind in Cornwall, England. Learn about Shake Rag Street, the pub in the settlement, and why we are called the "Badger State."
