Natural Burial is a type of burial that uses operational and burial practices that have no long-term degradation of soil health, plant diversity, water quality, and ecological habitat. Anita Lawrence, of Sòlas Natural Burial Preserve will explain the process and options at this green cemetery just down the road in Waunakee/Middleton. Concrete vaults, treated wood caskets, metals, plastic, embalming fluids and all other non-biodegradable materials are prohibited. All above-ground structures are prohibited, as well, including traditional headstones. Bring your questions and Anita will answer them!
