RSVP (The Rape and Sexual Violence Project) would like to invite you to attend an hour presentation on why employers need to understand the benefits of being a trauma-informed workplace. This session is to introduce employers with little or no knowledge of what trauma-informed approaches are and how they could support their employees.
Many employees have experienced varying degrees of trauma. Some may be survivors of sexual abuse and violence, domestic abuse, conflict, or have experienced addiction, grief, childhood trauma. These are just some things that may cause people trauma leading to wellbeing and health challenges.
Being an employer that acknowledges, respects and supports employees who are trauma survivors will be providing a safe workspace which is a better place to work for everyone.
In this presentation the Training Team will talk about:
- What is a trauma-informed workplace and why do they matter.
- Possible impacts of trauma.
- What are the benefits of having a trauma-informed workplace.
- What can you do next to become a trauma-informed employer.
The session is suitable for:
- Leadership teams, managers, governors, directors.
- Human resource professionals.
- Wellbeing practitioners, officers and professionals.
- Employers who want to support their teams - there are many benefits to having a trauma informed workplace including improving mental health and overall well-being, and increasing productivity.

- Everyone who wants to support people who have been impacted by sexual violence and abuse.
