WHS Students Sell Garden PlantsWe are delighted that students from the Winters High School agricultural program will bring plants they have grown to the Fruit Tree Sale on March 7. They will have a wide variety of plants available for purchase, including tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, herbs, flowers, and other seasonal starts.
The plants were grown at the WHS Ag Site as part of the Introduction to Agriculture, Agricultural Biology, and Agricultural Practices classes, where students learn the fundamentals of planting, growing, and caring for crops. Growing plants for sale gives them real-world experience in responsibility and entrepreneurship. It’s a great opportunity for students to learn practical life skills they can carry with them beyond graduation.
