This workshop is aimed at all skill levels of writing and no exercise is mandatory, we would just like to create a moment of co-writing in the space ~
You can pre-register by sending an email to: [email protected]
After the workshop, you are invited for a delicious free vegan dinner with all the participants and to stay and read either your newly written texts or older works, or parts of your favorite books during the open stage at 19:00!
18:00 - 22:00 / OPEN STAGE - Theme: queerness & alternative masculinities
From 18:00, we will open the exhibition to the public and at 19:00 we will start an open stage. For the open stage, we invite people to bring original texts, phone notes, poems or extracts of books, poems, articles around the themes of queerness and alternative masculinities from a queer and/or trans* perspective. No previous experience is required, this is an experimental ground for play. Every format and any length of reading is welcome and any contribution will be greatly appreciated!
This event is open to all but we ask people to be mindful of the different experiences that are present and to not assume anyone’s pronouns.
ABOUT WHOSE MUSEUM X ROSA KWIR
In 2022, Whose Museum invited Rosa Kwir to co-create a space where alternative masculinities could be explored and new collective imaginaries created. Various events focusing on trans masculinities took place during Rosa Kwir’s stay in Malmö. Rosa Kwir is an archive and project space revolving around alternative notions of masculinity - bringing together stories of trans men, non-binary and masculine of center people in Malta. It was initiated by artists Romeo Roxman Gatt & Charlie Cauchi in 2020. Whose Museum is an art collective and loose archival network that began in Vancouver in 2008 as a journey to challenge what a museum is and can be. The exhibition and full event programme is organized by Whose Museum Associates Aimé Dabbadie and VI-X Hatfield, in collaboration with Romeo Roxman Gatt & Charlie Cauchi.
